Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) January 02, 2013
Don Lee, Algonquins Director of Software Development, recently announced the promotions of Pat Johnson and Charles Marra. Both, previously Senior Developers, advanced to the position of Development Manager within the organization.
Johnson, who joined Algonquin as an intern in 2006, has worked on projects for a vast majority of our clients. A full-time developer since 2008, he manages project lifecycles from the requirements analysis phase through deployment to ongoing support in production.
Johnson also serves as Algonquin’s point person for the annual City of Buffalo InRem foreclosure auction and works extensively with newer developers as a vital member of the companys internal training team. He works in technologies including VB.NET, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, and HTML.
Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, with a concentration in Business Administration, from SUNY Fredonia.
Nobody I know wants things to go the right way more than Pat and he puts every ounce of his energy into making that happen, says Lee. Theres nothing I like more than to watch someone carry out their craft with passion. Pat is a Development Manager if I ever saw one.
Marra, who joined Algonquin in 2009 has also advanced to the role of Development Manager. Marra is been a resourceful, persistent contributor to projects for many of the companys largest and longest-standing clients and his promotion came in direct response to multiple client request, specifically asking for him to serve as manager on their projects.
Comfortable working in technologies including VB.NET, ASP.NET, and MS SQL Server, Marra is known for his clear, consistent communication and dedication to Algonquin’s main goalhappy clients. He holds a degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management Information Systems, from the University at Buffalo.
Charles takes every assignment to heart and drives it to completion, says Lee. He never complains and does whatever needs doing. Newer developers should follow Charles around for a day, then simply emulate him its a recipe for success.
Also moving up recently, John Colonio advanced to a Developer II position and Matthew Roger was promoted to Developer I. Colonio has taken initiative in helping to develop new Quality Assurance standards and processes for the company and Roger works regularly with one of Algonquins largest and longest-standing clients in the financial services industry.
