The Justice Department investigated Glaxo for its practice in misleading the public about Wellbutrin and other products’ uses. Recently, The Wall Street Journal reported that GlaxoSmithKline plead guilty to the criminal charges of illegally marketing the drug and for failing to disclose safety data to U.S. regulators. Glaxo’s $ 3 billion settlement is considered on of the largest in health-care fraud history.
