Glenside, PA (PRWEB) June 12, 2012
As part of its rebranding effort and emphasis to increase enrollment and attract Canadian as well as U.S. students, DYouville College launched the new redesign of its website. Designed and developed by Paskill Stapleton & Lord, the higher education marketing and enrollment management firm, the new website incorporates a sophisticated design, integrates with the Colleges social media marketing and is run with a robust content management system (CMS).
What separates this redesign from many others is the level of cooperation and involvement that we encountered from the entire college community, says Bill Hurlbert, Paskill Stapleton & Lords Vice President for Interactive Services. From the start we involved not only the administration and faculty but also the students. Throughout the process, as we built consensus on the design and functionality, we tested the redesign with the students and their feedback informed the eventual outcome of the website.
Prior to the start of the redesign, DYouville, which is located in Buffalo, NY, had introduced a new logo and was in the process of establishing a new brand identity as a regional college that wants to encourage traditional and non-traditional Canadian as well as U.S. students to enroll in its academic programs.
We conducted a website assessment and reviewed the brand research prior to starting the project, says Jeanne Gosselin, Senior Consultant at Paskill Stapleton & Lord. This helped guide us as we developed the messaging and the graphical elements. We addressed the different needs of the U.S. and international students, and made sure the functionality and architecture of the website supported the enrollment efforts of the College.
A website does not maintain itself. Paskill Stapleton & Lord integrated the OmniUpdate CMS architecture and made sure that Colleges staff were fully trained to use the system.
Early on in the process we not only addressed the staffing needed to get the site up, but also the staffing to keep the site dynamic, says Gosselin. A redesign is a big investment of time and money, and to get a good ROI you need to have the people with the skill set in place to maintain it.
