Digital Sports Group today announced that voting for the PFA fans player of the Month for September will be extended until Friday 5th October.
Visitors can vote for a player in any of the domestic English leagues by entering the name of the player, adding their email and hitting the submit button. Visitors can search for players by club to see all players in the club if they are not sure of the spelling or directly by their name.
Fans can vote for any member of the PFA but players must have played first team football to be eligible to win. Players are allowed 1 vote/league. Each league will have their own Fans player winner.
The race is definitely getting interesting. said Matthew Tait, Head of Operations at DSG. In the Premier League we are getting interest in new players such as Eden Hazard as well as the established players. Championship, players from Cardiff City, Wolves and Brighton are showing strongly in voting for that league. The bright starts Of Tranmere, Notts County and MK Dons are likewise rewarding players from these teams with thumbs ups from fans in League One. In League Two Gillingham and Port Vale players after nine games are virtually neck and neck, will fans reward their players with a vote after their strong starts?
Fans can vote for the PFA fans player of the month via the voting widget that is displayed throughout football.co.uk and the footymad network.
Matthew Tait went on to say The monthly awards represent a unique opportunity in football for fans to recognise and reward outstanding players from the month from all English domestic leagues. Lucky winners may also have a once in a lifetime opportunity to present players with the player of the month award.
DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
