Hereford, Herefordshire (PRWEB UK) 29 November 2012
On Monday the 21st January 2013, at 8PM, Stock2u is opening the doors to the Lancaster Suite at Holiday Inn (Formerly Excelsior Hotel) on Coventry Road (A45), only 1.5 miles from the NEC, to record the main footage for a promotional music video, Orders for Nothing and Clicks for Free. This video is being produced in support of the companys brand S2U design, new oak furniture launches, and their unique online concept, which provides authorised dealers of S2U design products with an additional ecommerce sales channel.
The music video will coincide with the furniture show, taking place at the NEC that week. In a first for the furniture industry, those attending the show are invited to join Stock2u for the evening and become part of the ground-breaking project.
Live music will be supplied by 50s and 60s style Rock n Roll band Johnny and the Waltones, fronted by Bo Walton, who has Mark Knopfler playing guitar on some of his solo tracks. Stock2u MD Henrik Pontoppidan will occasionally join the band on guitar.
Marketing coordinator Victoria Branson explains: The combination of the recession and the growth of online sales, absorbing a large portion of traditional sales, has caused the whole industry to worry too much, and forget that the best way out is to let excitement, fun and optimism take over. As we now have a fully developed, exciting concept, which has the power to make the whole difference for our dealers, we would like to present this in a fun and exciting environment. For this event everyone friend or foe – from the industry is welcome. Its certainly a better, more fun and uplifting way of spending this Monday evening in Birmingham, in the company of other likeminded furniture people, than in a random pub.
In addition to the entertainment, the private bar, private entrance, seating, free parking and complimentary shuttle buses every half hour from the NEC, Stock2u will have new designs of their oak furniture on display. MD, Henrik, remarked There will be plenty of time to go over Stock2us supply format, our products and have a demonstration of the online concept. But the main focus is on having a good time, a few drinks and a relax after a busy day at the show.
Alongside the entertainment the Stock2u team will showcase items from their flagship range, the Utah Oak Collection, with the focus on new items in production. The Utah is a stylish Oak furniture range, specifically designed to offer functional, practical features. The team will bring samples including a new slimline oak display cabinet, with glass sides, and optional spotlights; new oak hutches, designed to fit on the Utah oak sideboards; the flexible Utah oak wardrobes, with new top boxes, and a new sideboard /desk this joins Utahs existing oak cupboard / desk, but has the addition of a filing cabinet instead of a cupboard space.
This event is organised by furniture people, for furniture people, so registration is required on the Stock2u website. From here, tickets can be printed out and should be presented on entry. A password for the registration can be obtained by calling Stock2u on 0845 519 4506.
S2U design is an online retailer with a difference. The oak furniture is available online, via the company’s website, but rather than coming from one central distribution point, orders are delivered by the companys retail partners across the country giving customers the convenience of online shopping with the security of buying from a real shop. Customers can also see the furniture in person by finding their own local dealer.
S2U design is known for its functional and practical oak furniture ranges, the company now covers the whole spectrum of popular designs, with the traditional/modern oak, the Utah, sitting alongside the super-modern Ludlow Oak; the French style oak, the Bretagne; and the rustic style oak, the Malvern.
Stock2us ongoing effort to provide retailers with complete transparency and up-to-date information doesnt just end with its products. The company has a WordPress blog where anyone, whether they are a dealer or not, can read regular updates from the company.
