Austin, TX (PRWEB) July 09, 2012
e-MDs, the provider of the nations most highly rated Electronic Health Record (EHR), congratulates Princeton Healthcare Affiliated Physicians (PHAP) for assisting 21 physicians in their practice to achieve Meaningful Use (MU), the standard required to receive federal funds for the conversion to electronic health records. PHAP, the hospital-affiliated practice of Princeton HealthCare System, is a multi-specialty practice that includes primary care physicians, geriatricians, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, cardiologists and hematologist-oncologists with offices in Princeton, Plainsboro, Monroe and Dayton, New Jersey. PHAP selected e-MDs as their EHR provider in June of 2011. Both e-MDs and PHAP credit their strong partnership and teamwork, as well as e-MDs commitment and responsiveness to their clients, for the high volume of successful attestations.
“Our group implemented e-MDs in late June 2011. We are committed to conforming to the most up-to-date standards of high quality care, and transitioning our medical records to e-MDs has been a key part of staying true to our goal. Being recognized for having achieved Meaningful Use is really the capstone of that commitment, said Dr. Tobe Fisch, Primary Care Internist at PHAP. The fact that all of our 21 Medicare-eligible providers were able to achieve Meaningful Use with flying colors in the short period of time after we implemented e-MDs is a testament to the caliber of the software. e-MDs staff made themselves available to provide help along the way when we needed it, and we were gratified that they were responsive to the feedback that we provided.”
PHAP implemented e-MDs software and received the MU incentives just nine months later. During the attestation period, PHAP had 26 active full time providers using e-MDs, 21 of whom were eligible for Medicare attestation. In addition, the practice has two full time pediatric providers working in the Bristol Myers Squibb Community Health Center, a clinic for low-income patients, who will be eligible for Medicaid attestation in the near future.
e-MDs successful partnership with Princeton Healthcare Affiliated Physicians is another example of how e-MDs clients are achieving Meaningful Use at more than twice the rate of our competitors. It is gratifying to have satisfied client testimonials and more patients receiving the most attentive care possible. PHAP is a large, quality-focused organization and we congratulate them on bringing healthcare IT improvements to multiple specialties and clinics within their healthcare system, said David Winn, MD, FAAFP, Founder and CEO of e-MDs. We will continue to encourage and assist our clients in pursuing Meaningful Use incentives, as it is increasingly important that excellence in patient care is achieved and physicians are recognized for doing so.
