To place a spotlight on the high-quality standards of products made in Taiwan, Taiwan Excellence, an initiative highlighting Taiwans product ingenuity and technological innovation, is launching a series of consumer promotions with prizes that include the opportunity of a lifetime to experience the spirit of excellence first-hand in Taiwan.

For three decades, products designed and manufactured in Taiwan from bicycles to cell phones have made their way into U.S. homes. Many of these products have won the Taiwan Excellence Award, an international symbol of reliability, innovation and superior value. To highlight its Taiwan Excellence Products, Taiwans Bureau of Foreign Trade is bringing a series of events to Baltimore, Md., where the Taiwanese MLB pitcher Wei-Yin Chen plays. Taiwan Excellence wants to share with the American public the pride it has in both Wei-Yin and the Taiwanese spirit.

Nationwide, Taiwan Excellence is launching a Most Excellent Fan Sweepstakes on its Facebook page: Facebook.com/TaiwanExcellenceGlobal. The grand prize winner of the online sweepstakes receives a six-day trip for two to Taiwan, complete with round trip airfares, four-star hotel accommodations, guided tours, and a $ 1,500 travel stipend. Ten first-place prize winners receive an HTC One X smartphone. The national promotion runs from Sept. 26 Oct. 15, 2012. Individuals are encouraged to enter daily.

On September 30, Taiwan Excellence will also launch a Season of Excellence campaign, joining forces with the Baltimore Orioles baseball team. According to Taiwan Excellence, the Orioles knows the efforts required for great performance. In fact, the Season of Excellence campaign is designed as a tribute to the Orioles winning season. The event activation for the promotion takes place at the Orioles last home game this Sunday at Camden Yard.

At the game, brand ambassadors from Taiwan Excellence will take digital photos of individuals who want to appear on the sweepstakes Facebook Fan Gallery. The event will include an in-game sweepstakes in which attendees can win a superior seat upgrade for two during the game or one of three innovative HTC One X smartphones.

As an added bonus, WBAL, the Orioles official radio station, will run on-air segments promoting the Season of Excellence campaign and sweepstakes.
