Wilmington, Delaware (PRWEB) December 31, 2012
What do you get when you put smart speakers with smart ideas in front of a smart audience?
You get the Next Thing Now, and its coming to Wilmingtons Chase Center on the Riverfront on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.
Sponsored by The Company Corporation, the Next Thing Now is a series of action-oriented, skills-building events planned for the New Year designed to energize and inspire the business lives of everyone who takes part.
Kicking off the series next month will be the one and only Daniel Pink, author of the best-selling books Drive, A Whole New Mind, Free Agent Nation, and most recently, To Sell Is Human. The theme of Pinks Wilmington visit will be the Moving Business.
Like it or not, were all in sales now, says Pink. Were all in the Moving Business. During his Next Thing Now presentation, Pink will outline his key exercises for moving people (pitching, improvising, and serving) and share what he calls the new maxims of selling (attunement, buoyancy, and clarity). Hell explain the science behind the facts, offer new takeaways that will work in any situation, and demonstrate how the concepts of making it personal and making it purposeful are essential to successful selling.
Author Malcolm Gladwell (The Tipping Point) calls Daniel Pink provocative and fascinating, and Forbes says he has a knack for teaching in such an entertaining way that you’ll forget you are learning. His near-legendary TED talk video has already garnered four million views, and his appearance here in Wilmington is a must-see for anyone interested in becoming a more powerful communicator.
Along with Pink, the Next Thing Now 2013 kickoff will feature some of Wilmingtons own business heavy hitters sharing their wisdom on motivation, persuasion, and selling. Everyone who comes out will come away with strategies to sharpen their business skills and accelerate their effectiveness.
Light breakfast and coffee will be served at the event, and attendees will receive their own copies of Daniel Pink’s new book, To Sell Is Human.
