Timber Wolf Lodge recently offered free entries into a drawing to win a week long vacation at the resort near Ely Minnesota. Folks who Liked Timber Wolf Lodge on Facebook were awarded a free entry, as were past guests of the resort.
The grand prize consisted of a week long vacation during 2013 at the Timber Wolf Lodge for the winner and included a second cabin for the winners friends or family. Timber Wolf Lodge is surrounded by the natural beauty of Northern Minnesota, located on the shore of the 2300 acre Bear Island Lake, with easy access to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
The resort has recovered beautifully from a devastating fire which destroyed the original lodge building in June of 2011. The lodge has been rebuilt with many improvements and the resort itself has undergone a $ 250,000 renovation under the guidance of Steve Branstrom, general manager. Among the many updates and improvements at Timber Wolf Lodge this year were the installation of Sleep Number beds and Keurig single-cup coffee brewers. New furnishings, linens, flooring and more were installed and, for the first time, wireless hot-spot internet service is available. The resort will continue to be a true retreat into the northwoods atmosphere of fragrant pines, shining birch, amazing sunsets over Bear Island Lake and the echo of loons calling across the water.
The winner of the Get-Away Give-away Package was announced on September 20, 2012. Lucky winner, Todd Mortenson, is one of Timber Wolf Lodges past visitors who participated in the contest. His name was drawn as the winner of the one week stay with the use of two cabins, which he can reserve for anytime during the 2013 season.
Guests comment on the quality of the fishing on Bear Island Lake where the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources stocks 900,000 walleye fry every other year. There are plenty of native fish species in addition to the walleye. With 1/3 mile of shoreline and 22 islands to explore, birding, wildlife viewing, berry picking, swimming, boating, hiking, canoeing, hunting, photography and mountain biking are all popular activities. Nearby museums, golf and shopping entertain others. The small town atmosphere of Ely invites explorers and adventurers, as well as those who simply seek a relaxing experience far from the everyday stresses of life.
Weve had a lot of fun contests for our fans and guests to enter this year in celebration of our 75th year of hosting visitors to this amazing wilderness area. We are also offering all kinds of special packages for guests which can be located only on our website at http://www.timberwolflodge/Specials/internet-deals.html .
