Mount Kisco, New York (PRWEB) June 19, 2012
Northern Westchester Hospital is giving patients a new perspective on New York orthopedic surgery with new animations of surgical procedures online.
NWH Orthopedic and Spine Institute’s new-and-improved online presence features additional information about conditions and treatments for a number of commonly problematic areas, including the foot and ankle, hip, knee, shoulder, spine, and hand and wrist. Patients may watch each operation take place through a computer animation to get a better understanding of what occurs during surgery and how the bone, joint, or ligament correction takes place.
Those seeking New York spine surgery may be excited to choose from a selection of more than 20 back and spine surgeries, including computer-assisted spine surgery, Lumbar Laminectomy, Posterior Cervical Laminectomy, and Cervical Anterior Cervical Discectomy Fusion.
In addition to the helpful animations, the NWH Orthopedic and Spine Institute houses highly skilled, well-trained New York orthopedic surgeons who are more than happy to assist with any questions patients may have while considering their orthopedic surgery options.
Included in the procedure animations are also numerous conditions and illustrations of how they become problematic. For example, one animation examines how osteoarthritis, its cause, and how it affects the patients ability to be mobile.
More than 90 procedures are available for viewing on the NWH Orthopedic and Spine Institutes recently enhanced web site. Viewers may also share the animations via social media sites, e-mail them and print out accompanying information.
Beyond learning about conditions and treatments on the new web site, patients may also register for a pre-surgery seminar, learn about surgery preparation and read patient testimonials.
