Integrated Wealth Management Fashion Week El Paseo announces this years Project Runway designers and their events.
On Wednesday, March 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Project Runway All-Star runner-up Michael Costello and 11 Project Runway All-Star contestants will gather for a special Q&A press conference. That evening there will be a cocktail reception at 7:00 p.m. followed at 8 p.m. by the much anticipated fashion show, “The Drama and Designs of Project Runway.” The show brings together all 12 Project Runway contestants to showcase their Spring 2013 collections.
On Thursday, March 21, attendees will receive a personal consultation and spend the day perusing the collections of Costello and the Project Runway designers during their trunk shows from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
This years Project Runway All-Star designers for Fashion Week El Paseo are:
Michael Costello – Season 8 Project Runway All-Stars runner-up. At the age of 14, Costello designed his first couture collection, earning a review in Vogue magazines article, Los Angeles Hidden Talent. Currently, he has a studio in Los Angeles and designs for an impressive list of celebrity clients.
Mondo Guerra – Season 8 runner-up and winner of Project Runway All-Stars. The Denver-based designer now actively designs for various HIV/AIDS projects after announcing he was HIV positive on the show.
Seth Aaron (Henderson) – Season 7 winner. Seth Aaron currently works as a freelance stylist and designer in Vancouver, Wash., where he lives with this wife and two children.
Anthony Ryan – Season 9 contestant. Ryan designs for his own collection, Anthony Ryan Auld, where he creates garments that are wearable yet use unconventional materials.
Korto Momolu – Season 5 runner-up and fan favorite. Currently, she lives in Arkansas with her husband and produces chic womenswear and accessories influenced by her African roots.
Josh McKinley – Season 9 runner-up and in the final four of Project Runway All-Stars. He continues to focus on his signature menswear collection and capsule collection of dresses and gowns. As well, hes working on a line of baby clothes.
Viktor Luna – Season 9 contestant. Luna polished his skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology following his move to New York. In 2003, he worked as a production assistant for Zero Maria Cornejo prior to launching his first collection.
Gordana Gehlhausen – Season 6 contestant. Gehlhausen has continued her career designing womenswear for her own line, GOGA Couture.
Bert Keeter – Season 9 contestant. He currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to create day and evening wear relying on silhouette and color combined with luxurious materials.
Fabio Costa – placed second on Season 10. In 2006, he moved to New York and continued his education at both the Fashion Institute of Technology and The Pratt Institute. Costa continues to delight through his designs.
Elena Slivnyak – Season 10 runner-up. In 2012, Lady Gaga wore the Domini dress from Slivnyaks IIMUAHIIs Fall 2012 Collection propelling Slivnyaks career.
April Johnston – Season 8 contestant. Currently, she resides in Savannah where she designs under her label Mangled Courtesan using a lot of sequins, brocades and textures and what Johnston calls dark and edgy.
