Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) December 12, 2012
Bearing gifts for the yuletide season, today indie game developer Childhood Friends releases Quiz Monsters, an HTML5 Facebook game that adapts to one’s social media profile.
By combining elements of board, social and video game mechanics with an exclusive set of algorithms, Quiz Monsters offers consumers a unique twist on the trivia game genre.
“Our algorithms are constantly adapting to a players interests, cognitive abilities and social network,” says co-founder and programmer Javier Trinchero. “The more a player and their friends and family play the game, the more Quiz Monsters customizes the playing experience for the player and the social network they belong too.”
Rendered like no other app on Facebook, Quiz Monsters pays homage to the classic literary illustrations of yesteryears.
“We want to make games of cultural significance”, says co-founder Faisal Sethi. “A majority of games on Facebook share a similar aesthetic quality. We didn’t want to make a game. We wanted to make a piece of art.”
Trivia questions are updated weekly to reflect current events and academic discoveries of cultural significance. This month, Quiz Monsters includes holiday season avatars and a Christmas themed question pack, all at no cost.
A portion of proceeds generated from the game will be donated to educating children through Shes The First, a not-for-profit that sponsors girls education in the developing world, helping them be the first in their families to graduate.
Are you smarter than a monster? Starting today, you can install Quiz Monsters for free in the Facebook App store, and find out.
