Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 18, 2012
PackFlash, DotNetNuke module developers, just released the newest version of their DotNetNuke Events module. This latest version provides integration to the core DNN Social Functionality that was released with DNN 6.2. New functionality in the Events module allows anyone creating an event the option to post a message to their personal journal on their DotNetNuke website at the time that the event is published to the website. The user will also be provided the option to post to any or all of their social group journals at the same time, the option to include a personalized message, and the ability to set the visibility of the post. The new DNN 6.2 includes similar functionality when a user manually posts to the DNN social journals in the core product.
The DotNetNuke Events module is a part of the Constellation product family. The Constellation Module Suite consists of eight DNN modules that are closely tied together. The modules can be purchased individually or together as a complete solution. This level of module integration is unique in the DNN marketplace. The Constellation module suite currently consists of Events, Gallery, Slideshow, Video, Friendly URLs, Mega Drop-Down Menu, Comment and News & Blog module for DotNetNuke. The Events Module is a solution for providing calendars and list of events. The module can group corporate events, webinars, tradeshow sessions, or training classes. Grouping allows events to be published to the website at the same time.
In addition to the Events Module, Constellation version 3.3 adds identical DotNetNuke Social integration to the News & Blogs, Gallery, and Video modules. The PackFlash Comments and Ratings module has been augmented to provide users with the ability to share comments on any item in the system. A new module has also been added to the Constellation suite called PackFlash Collections that will allow users to save and manage items, including image galleries, to their personal libraries. Also new to the suite is the ability to specify a template-driven tooltip on any list view allowing the user to see more details than what is on the page. Using recent functionality to the Mega Menu Module for specifying Smart nodes, users now have the ability to display category hierarchies from other PackFlash modules within a mega menu rather than the typical limitation of DotNetNuke pages.
Significant improvements have also been extended to the Friendly URLs and SEO module in version 3.3 of PackFlashs DotNetNuke Modules. The Constellation suite now benefits from universal re-writing functionality that can be used to provide friendly URLs for dynamically generated without requiring integration. As long as the URLs are using standard DNN conventions, the URLs will be re-written including links generated from PackFlash modules, DNN core modules, and 3rd party modules.
