Melville, NY (PRWEB) November 14, 2012
Today, GroupGifting.com announced that they have changed the name of their social gifting service, MyGiftWand, to eGifter. The name change coincides with an extensive aesthetic redesign of the http://www.eGifter.com website and the Facebook and Mobile apps.
We are very pleased to announce the name change of our service to eGifter, said Tyler Roye, CEO of GroupGifting.com. We feel that the new name is more representative of the broadening scope of our Facebook and Mobile apps. eGifting is, after all, what the service is all about. And we are especially pleased with the new look and feel of the web site and apps. The renamed Android app is available now and we expect the iOS app to be available in the next few days.
As eGifter, the service remains largely the same and still allows Facebook users to send free and paid Gift Cards in just a few clicks. What makes it so interesting is that the Gift Cards are posted to the recipients Facebook wall allowing their Facebook friends to join in by making a contribution of their own, turning it into a group gift and dramatically increasing its reach. Specific contributors can also be invited via email and SMS.
This expanded reach allows Retail partners of the eGifter service to reach specific demographics such as age, gender or location via incentive-based social media campaigns designed to drive new customer acquisition by unlocking the potential of true friend-to-friend marketing in social and mobile commerce. Our retail partners are finding many creative ways to use our services to unlock the potential of social and mobile commerce, and we are all very pleased with the results, added Roye.
eGifter also allows Retailers to launch innovative campaigns such as a give-one/ get-one offers, which create loyalty in existing customers and acquire new customers at the same time. These campaigns can also be used as a tool for brands to monetize prior social investments by activating a powerful social chain reaction through their own fan base. As with all of the companys services, retailers only pay a fee for the service when the recipient uses the Gift Card, making it a true Cost-Per-Acquisition model.
